SaltWorks CEO, Mark Zoske, Entrepreneur of the Year Award

We couldn’t be more honored and proud! SaltWorks CEO, Mark Zoske was named EY Entrepreneur Of The Year™ 2014 Pacific Northwest in the distribution and manufacturing category. The award was announced at a special gala event at the Hyatt Regency Bellevue on Friday, June 20, 2014. As a Pacific Northwest award winner, he’s now eligible for consideration for the Entrepreneur Of The Year 2014 national program.

SaltWorks® is the largest gourmet salt company in the world, but we still feel like a small family. When he was announced as a winner, the office was abuzz with excitement—for many reasons:

He’s the kind of boss who is up at 4am jotting down ways to improve the company over his 2nd cup of coffee (and probably emailing it to the respective department), who will surprise you with lunch at your desk when the day seems too short to get what you want done, and who cares so much about a product and customer experience that it’s truly contagious throughout the facility, from shipping and receiving down to our Twitter account (even if he’s still totally confused by our Twitter account.)

In a nutshell, we were all excited because we see how much he cares every day, and we know he deserves it. It’s also worth mentioning that we thought it would be kind of amusing to see him in a tuxedo.
