Pacific Blue Flake Sea Salt (Ingredient Flake) - 5 lb Bag is rated 4.9 out of 5 by 29.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from No chemical taste I use this salt for all my cooking and in our salt grinders. Great stuff. Nice mellow taste bump without the harsh chemical taste that "regular" table salt has. I also like the kosher flake type. I just remember to use a little more of it in recipes than commercial table salt because the size of the flakes are bigger. I particularly like that it is practically local, made on the West coast. I try to buy California or nearby for most food products.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the texture of this salt I first purchased this salt at a local chain store who carries a variety of items that may not always be in stock. When I was unable to purchase the salt there again, I searched online and found you. I love the salt as it has a wonderful size with flaky texture. Have not done so yet, but I intend to make salted caramel's and think this will be perfect. I used the first container purchased elsewhere and find that I don't want to be without this salt.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Flaked is best! I bought this Pacific kosher flaked sea salt in a small jar at TJ Maxx and it was so good that I just had to have more. I bought a 5 lb bag and used it all up by sprinkling it on everything from roasted veggies in the oven to fresh fruit like watermelon and apples. I also shared it with friends and family. My 4 y/o granddaughter wants a pinch of it every time she visits. I love this salt and I just reordered another 5 lb bag.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pacific Blue Kosher Flake Yes I like pink Himalayan salt. But this is my everyday salt. This is what I keep in my salt pig. I love the kosher flake. I love that it's sea salt. It's so delicate that you can use it as a finishing salt. It dissolves quickly and it doesn't overpower dishes. Of course if your using it in a recipe that calls for table salt just ad 50% more. 1 1/2 teaspoons kosher flake salt = 1 teaspoon table salt.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Só soft I love it. It is not really a flake like the Murray River flakes I like the best. But Murray River is now out-of-sight expensive. This is a pretty good substitute. It is a very fine grain—like very fine white sand which I have felt on some beaches. But it is soft, not at all gritty. It melts perfectly. Not much crunch. Not too salty. I’d still prefer Murray River, if not for the cost. Sigh!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this Salt I bought this salt in their shaker size container at Costco several years ago and loved it. They stopped carrying it so I found them online and ordered several of the shaker containers. I decided to buy this 5 lb bag to save money. So, I have lots to share with my family. My husband loves it too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from nice for candy! this is nice for candy making. I do wish it was slightly more "flaked" form, it's pretty much just granulated sea salt, not flakes at all but---I will still use it for candy making and will probably try the true flaked-salt next time, instead of this version. Thanks!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My favorite Kosher flake salt This is my second 5 lb bag of Pacific Blue Kosher Flake. The only time I use my other (“traditional”) brand is when brining or pickling. For everything else, this is my go-to salt. Also works as a finishing salt, with its clean taste and tender flake.
