Fusion® Vanilla Bean Salt Whipped Cream

  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Bean Salt

Hot Chocolate

  • 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
  • ½ cup white sugar
  • 1¾ cup plus ¼ cup 2 percent or whole milk


  1. For the whipped cream: Whisk heavy cream and sugar with your stand mixer until soft peaks form.
  2. Add Vanilla Bean Salt and incorporate completely. Place in the fridge.
  3. For the hot chocolate: stir together the cocoa powder and sugar in a medium saucepan. Cocoa will be lumpy.
  4. Add ¼ cup milk and bring to a low boil over medium heat, stirring constantly.
  5. Let boil until the sugar is completely dissolved and no longer grainy, about 1-2 minutes. Stir constantly to avoid burning.
  6. Add the rest of the milk. For sweeter cocoa, add less milk and for less sweet, add more milk. Turn up the heat and bring hot chocolate to your desired serving temperature.
  7. Pour into mugs, top with whipped cream, and sprinkle a bit of Vanilla Bean Salt for presentation.
