Ancient Ocean® Himalayan Pink Salt-Topped Chocolate Truffles

Your favorite chocolate confections get a flavor boost from a whole host of SaltWorks® flavored and gourmet sea salts. This silky, velvety, decadent dark chocolate treat is the perfect backdrop to pure, pristine Ancient Ocean® Himalayan Pink Salt. The pink salt adds precious color to the deep and dark palette, almost melting into the chocolate. We also love the beautiful Artisan® Cyprus Flake as well as Fusion® Vintage Merlot as a divine addition to these bite-size chocolate fixes. A simple and delicious way to dress an already elegant dessert.



  1. Place chocolate chips/chopped chocolate in a large mixing bowl.
  2. In a small saucepan, bring the heavy whipping cream to a boil. Immediately pour into the bowl with the chocolate chips and whisk until smooth.
  3. Chill in refrigerator for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight.
  4. Use a truffle scoop or hand and spoon to shape the truffles into round balls. Roll truffles in the cocoa powder until completely coated.
  5. Dust with Ancient Ocean Himalayan Pink Salt (small grain), Cyprus Flake Salt, or Vintage Merlot Salt. Chill in the freezer to set for 3-4 hours.
  6. Serve at room temperature.
