Easy Fusion® Szechuan Pepper Salt Fried Rice

Hot and steamy, light and fluffy, fried rice is a great accompaniment to any meal or a meal in itself! Fusion® Szechuan Pepper Salt

Ingredients

  • 2-3 cups cooked white jasmine rice (Note: for best results, cook the rice in the morning or night before and refrigerate)
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 small white onion, diced
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 1 large carrot peeled or about 6 peeled baby carrots sliced
  • 2-3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 2 tablespoons chopped green onion
  • Szechuan Pepper Salt, to taste

Directions

  1. Preheat a large non-stick skillet or wok to medium heat. Add sesame oil, white onion, peas and carrots and fry until tender, stirring often. (Add more oil if necessary if your veggies are sticking to the pan.)
  2. Move vegetable mixture to one side of the pan and pour the beaten egg on the other. Using a spatula, scramble the egg until fully cooked. Combine everything in the pan.
  3. Add in the rice and a few sprinkles of water if necessary to loosen and stir to combine all ingredients. Once rice is incorporated, add soy sauce. Stir-fry until the rice is heated all the way through. Top with green onion and sprinkle with a generous amount of Szechuan Pepper Salt before serving.
