Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVE IT!! I first found the Salish Alderwood Smoked Sea salt at the grocery store about 5 years ago, and I fell in love instantly. Eventually that store went out of business and couldn't find it anywhere. We rationed our usage until we finally ran dry. I gave up looking locally and found SaltWorks online. I ordered the 16oz pouch to make sure I was choosing the correct grain size, which I did. The day it arrived was literally a celebration in my home. My kids (both teenagers) call it "the good salt". We use it as our primary flavoring salt- on everything from baked potatoes to steak to asparagus to soups! I'll never be without it again!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Smoked Salt for Meat & Garlic Mashed Potatoes When I visited Washington state some years ago I enjoyed a steak that had been prepared with Salish, garlic and pepper. It was simply wonderful! I insisted on knowing what that spice was along with my compliments to the chef and he shared his recipe. Delighted, I purchased my own container and have never let the well of it run dry in my kitchen. It is delicious on meats, garlic mashed potatoes and a variety of side dishes and salads. I have purchased this salt from other companies, but it does not have the strength that this one does. A true favorite in my household! You might consider transferring it to a glass jar with rice to absorb the moisture and use a metal dispensing top as the plastic one it comes in tends to clog up and limit the pour.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So glad I found this! I first encountered this salt in a concierge lounge in a London hotel. I enjoyed it so much that I wrote down the name because I didn't trust my memory. After returning home I eventually found it after some searching. What a treat! I first used it on roasted vegetables and in a sauce for crab cakes. Now I look for any possibilities for sprinkling it on whatever I'm preparing. I sent a gift pack as a Christmas gift and am about to order another for an upcoming birthday. Great gift for foodie relatives!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful flavor Great aroma; evokes the Pacific Northwest. My main use is for grilling salmon on a gas grill; this salt adds a wonderful alderwood-smoked flavor without over-powering the fish. And I also use it when broiling salmon in the oven to get an outdoor grilled taste. My wife and I both use it on eggs as well. We have used several jars of it and given away a few as well and feedback has always been positive. A really good product at a good price.

The Salish Alderwood Smoked Salt was the only one I liked. So when I am getting low (Twice now) I go to your site and order more. And have shared a small sample with friends and gave them your site. I just like it because it just gives a hint and takes only a small amount. and does not taste salty.

I bought the coarse grain and put it in a salt mill to season the meat. Delicious salty, smokey flavor! You may think I'm crazy, but I added a little bit of Alder salt and a little bit of butter to my bowl of oatmeal - stir and yum. Already sending it to friends and family as a gift.

Fantastic on grilled meats, but also good in scrambled eggs, casseroles and much, much, more. I also want to thank customer service for there dedication to customer service and there helpfulness....they are a benefit to the company.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Interesting flavor I had never heard of smoked salt until a friend mentioned that she loved it on eggs. She had used the last of hers and had never seen it in stores. I went on line and found Salish, one for her and one for me. Now I'm hooked ... salads, fish, grilled tofu, beans, and the list goes on.
