Simple Baked Sweet Potato Chips with Artisan® Sel Gris Grey Sea Salt

When you get a serious case of the munchies, look no further than this quick and easy sweet potato chip recipe. Crispy, flavorful and guilt free, the sweet potato is the perfect backdrop to any seasoning. Add anything to this crunchy treat, from zesty and sweet to tangy and salty! We like to add Artisan® Sel Gris Grey Sea Salt in Velvet grain. Known for its beautiful grey color and extraordinary mineral content, this very fine grain salt has a “buttery” feel that melts on your tongue.   • 2 sweet potatoes, washed and dried
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • Sel Gris Grey Sea Salt—Velvet grain
  • Fresh cracked black pepper to taste


  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside. Note: Cooking on parchment will keep the sweet potatoes from sticking and will help achieve a crispier texture.
  2. Using a mandolin, thinly slice the sweet potatoes.
  3. In a large bowl, mix the sweet potato slices with olive oil, Sel Gris Grey Sea Salt (Velvet grain) and black pepper.
  4. Lay the slices on the baking sheet, being careful not to overlap or overload the pan. Roasting vegetables need space to crisp. Bake until crispy, about 20-25 minutes.
  5. Remove chips from the oven and serve with an additional sprinkling of Sel Gris Grey Sea Salt.
